Trail Rides
Ride in the Spectacular Rockies…
Whether a beginner, intermediate or advanced rider, we are confident that we have a horse and trail to suit you. Our guides and outfitters are safe, reliable and eager to share their knowledge of the area. Before all rides, you will be matched with a compatible horse and given a brief list of the “Laws of the Land”.
We offer 1 hour trip, 2 hours, Half day (3.5 hours incl. snack), All Day (7 hours incl. lunch), Adventure and Intermediate rides, overnight Packtrips 1-5 nights, and for yer lil' buckaroos - Pony Rides!; and for cowboys and cowgirls in training, Riding Lessons are available! No matter what or how long, there's something for everyone!
OVERNIGHT PACKTRIPS
Thinking about camping this weekend? Do something different this time with friends and family. An overnight trip on horseback may be just what you're looking for. Hit the trail with our very own Cowboy Poet - BJ Smith. He is an experienced wrangler and certified Wilderness Packer. Experience the backcountry - wildlife is abundant, flowers are blooming and summer is just around the corner! Don't forget your camera!
Experience Horse Riding in the Winter…
Rafter Six Ranch is one of the only outfitters offering winter riding in the west! Enjoy the trails covered with freshly fallen snow, or a sleigh ride complete with bells, blankets an experience you’ll always cherish.
Then cozy up by the over-sized wood burning fireplace with a warming drink and meal in our licensed dinning lounge. So Peaceful.
RIDING WEAR
For a more comfortable riding experience, we recommend long pants, boots with a heel, and clothing suited to the various weather conditions. Closed toe shoes are a must. High impact helmets are also recommended for all riders and required for riders under the age of 18 years. Riders may bring their own helmet or rent one on site. Extras - Sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, bugspray, camera etc. Please make sure all items are secure on you.
 There is no better way to start your Cowboy Adventure than with a True Hearty Western Breakfast served hot and fresh in the great outdoors!

 Sunset Supper Ride
Ride into the sunset with an early evening horseback ride and a hearty western supper on the banks of the Kananaskis River! Great fun for everyone! Prime beef steaks and Rocky Mountain trout are grilled over a campfire and served with all the fixin's. An experience that shouldn't be missed!
